Dear Subscribers,

How are you?

     My name is Shigeru Yagi, the owner of Yagi Pharmacy which was found by my father in kobe in 1950.  Twenty years ago, my father and me open a pharmacy in Nihonbashi, Tokyo.

    I started Internet when we had a great earthquake in Kobe in 1995. My mother and sisters have been in Kobe and they experienced the disaster. My shop in Kobe was also seriously damaged. During the recovering days, I got information on how the things were going in the city of Kobe form BBS. I sent them to my family and working staff of my shop in Kobe by fax. I was amazed because I could get even time schedules of trains and ships and public bath places which were available for the citizens, etc through the BBS. This kind of information was not equally distributed to the people in the middle of disaster. BBS worked all right as a media of news, which individuals needed.

     At the end of the year of 1995, I made my home page called " the Diet Page". I wanted to dedicate people not only in Kobe but also at any places in Japan in the Internet. What else I can do but only things in health. At that time nobody had home pages concentrated in diet, so I took diet as the theme of my page.

     I didn't sell any diet foods and supplements in the Diet Page but I set up Q & A page, which anybody can ask about their diet problems, my sister and my pharmacists answered them and I made the pages.

     Right now, I sell supplements and some medicines through my home page and also open up a new shop in the Japanese leading Internet Shopping Mall, Rakuten Ichiba. We still think that consulting is our purpose of Internet Shopping.
